About & disclaimer

PassFast Theory is a small independent study app that helps UK learner drivers prepare for the car theory test by practising only the topics they are weakest at.

Not affiliated with DVSA

PassFast Theory is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), or any UK government department.

DVSA, DVLA and any other names, marks or trademarks referred to on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the test this app helps you prepare for. Booking your real theory test, and any official information about it, is handled solely through GOV.UK.

Where our questions come from

Every practice question, answer option and explanation in this app is original content written by us. Questions are written to mirror the published DVSA syllabus — the same 14 topic areas, a comparable style and a comparable level of difficulty — so that practising here builds the knowledge the real test assesses.

They are not reproductions, copies, paraphrases or extracts of the official DVSA revision question bank, which is Crown copyright. If you believe any item here is too close to official material, please contact us and we will review and rewrite it.

The hazard perception scenarios are likewise original illustrated sequences created for this app. They are designed to train the same hazard-spotting skill, not to reproduce the official test clips.

Accuracy and the Highway Code

We work hard to keep our content correct and up to date with the current Highway Code and UK road traffic law, but rules change and mistakes are possible. Nothing here is legal advice or a guarantee of exam content. Always treat the official Highway Code and GOV.UK guidance as the definitive source.

Passing our mock exams does not guarantee you will pass the real test. Our readiness signal is a study aid based on your recent scores, not an official assessment.

The real test, for reference

  • Multiple choice: 50 questions in 57 minutes, pass mark 43 out of 50.
  • Hazard perception: 14 clips scored out of 75, pass mark 44 out of 75.
  • You must pass both parts in the same sitting.

Our mock exams follow these figures exactly so the experience feels familiar on the day.
